Visit the site of the highest wind speed ever recorded, the summit of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire. The record setting event occurred in 1934. The site includes current weather conditions, which are often extreme, and other fascinating information about the weather observatory on the top of 6,288 ft. Mt. Washington.

Several premier weather sites offer extensive information on meteorology. Plymouth State Weather Center , the University of Michigan , Florida State Meteorology , and Oregon State University are among the most comprehensive weather centers.

The United States government makes available to the public the weather data gathered from National Weather Service, the G.O.E.S. satellite images, and the National Hurricane Center which are administered through the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Association.
